چکیده

(Markus Kahn, 1995) defines Steganography as art and science of communicating in a way which hides the existence of the communication. In contrast to cryptography, where the enemy is allowed to detect, intercept and modify messages without being able to violate certain security premises guaranteed by a cryptosystem, the goal of steganography is to hide messages inside other innocent messages in a way that does not allow any enemy to even detect that there is a second message present. In this paper we would review various steganography techniques LSB substitution, LSB matching, Adaptive LSB and Pixel-Value Differencing (PVD), Edge detection filter based, Pixel Indicator techniques Component based LSB and Texture based techniques. The review concludes with the need of better steganography technique for color images meeting criteria’s of imperceptibility, robustness and capacity equally. Keywords—Adaptive LSB,Component based LSB,Edge detection filter based Techniques,LSB Matching,LSB Substitution, Pixel Indicator Techniques, Pixel Value Differencing, Steganography. I. A Novel Technique for Steganography Method Based on Improved Genetic Algorithm Optimization in Spatial Domain

This paper devotes itself to the study of secret message delivery using cover image and introduces a novel steganographic technique based on genetic algorithm to find a near-optimum structure for the pair-wise least-significant-bit (LSB) matching scheme. A survey of the related literatures shows that the LSB matching method developed by Mielikainen, employs a binary function to reduce the numbe...

Eigenvalues-based LSB steganalysis

So far, various components of image characteristics have been used for steganalysis, including the histogram characteristic function, adjacent colors distribution, and sample pair analysis. However, some certain steganography methods have been proposed that can thwart some analysis approaches through managing the embedding patterns. In this regard, the present paper is intended to introduce a n...

Classification of Image Steganography Techniques in Spatial Domain: A Study

Steganography is a method of secret communication wherein the very existence of communication is hidden. During the last few decades there have been a tremendous development in digital image steganography and a large number of papers have been published by different researchers. This review paper presents a classification of the spatial domain image steganography techniques. These classificatio...

A Review of Comparison Techniques of Image Steganography

Steganography is an important area of research in recent years involving a number of applications. It is the science of embedding information into the cover image viz., text, video, and image (payload) without causing statistically significant modification to the cover image. The modern secure image steganography presents a challenging task of transferring the embedded information to the destin...
